Kia EV6: Specifications Explained

- The Kia EV6 will be offered in India in the higher-spec GT Line variant.

The Kia EV6 is on its way to India and as we exclusively reported, the electric crossover is all set to go on sale in India this month itself. The Kia EV6 will be launched in India as a completely built unit (CBU) and the Korean brand has allocated 100 units of the EV in the first phase. Kia India is already accepting pre-bookings for the new EV and we will be getting the bigger 77.4 kWh battery pack. While we've talked about the Kia EV6 at length in our exclusive review, here's a gist of all the iterations of the EV6 that are on offer.

Kia EV6 GT Line AWD
As we have already mentioned, the Kia EV6 electric crossover will be offered in the GT-Line variant with a dual e-AWD system sourcing power form a 77.4 kWh battery pack. The powertrain belts out 320 bhp and 605 Nm of peak torque. In this setup, the Kia EV6 electric crossover promises a range of about 425 km, on a single charge.

Kia EV6 GT
Then, there is the full-blown performance-oriented GT variant also on offer in global markets. It uses the same 77.4 kWh battery pack but gets a dual-motor combo for the all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, sending power to all four-wheels. The powertrain churns out around 578 bhp and 740 Nm of peak torque.

Kia EV6 Standard Trim
The Kia EV6 range starts with a 58 kWh battery pack that is offered in two configurations - rear-wheel drive (RWD) setup with 168 bhp single-motor, or in all-wheel drive (AWD) layout with dual-motor setup that belts out around 235 horses. There is also the larger 77.4 kWh battery pack that offers 225 bhp single-motor in RWD configuration, 321 bhp dual-motor in AWD configuration.
