Mercedes-AMG C43's India Launch Date Confirmed

- It will be Mercedes-Benz India's 13th product launch this year
- The AMG C 43 will sit between the C200 and the AMG C 63 S
- It will come powered by a 357bhp 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine
Mercedes-Benz India has confirmed it will launch the AMG C43 in India on 14 December. The German carmaker launched the new 2017 Mercedes-Benz CLA facelift last month, thus fulfilling its promise to launch 12 new products in India this year. However, it seems the company wants to send off 2016 on a decidedly beautiful note.
An endeavour to familiarize the 'AMG 43' nomenclature among Indian customers, the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC sedan will be the third AMG product in India this year, after the AMG GLE 43 Coupe and the AMG SLC 43. The 2017 AMG C43, Mercedes' budget champion among performance cars, replaces the C450 AMG and will fill in the gap between the Mercedes-Benz C 200 and the eccentric AMG C 63 S in the C-Class line-up.
It will come powered by the AMG-enhanced 3.0L V6 biturbo developing 357bhp and a maximum torque of 521Nm. It will be mated to the 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission and be offered with AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive system that features a 31:69 front/rear torque split to assure an ideal balance of power delivery under hard acceleration and coming out of corners. The sedan will also receive the AMG RIDE CONTROL Sport suspension that features a lighter, more rigid 4-wheel multilink design with AMG-developed springs and electronically controlled shock absorbers with 3-stage variable damping.
