New Fiat Punto Facelift Spied Testing

In an earlier story, we brought you a leaked image of the facelifted Punto, which was accidentally revealed by the company during a presentation. Today, we have spy pictures of the car, which was on its test somewhere in Pune.
Since the car was on the move and it was half camouflaged, so, not much was visible. But we know the changes it will receive. Though, the changes are not major, the car manages to look slightly sportier than before. The front fascia of the Punto facelift has taken its inspiration from the Avventura Concept, which was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. It gets new blacked out headlamps and a rounded cornered rectangular shaped grille. The bumper too has been revised with trapezoidal shaped fog lamps with chrome-line housing.

At the rear, the 2014 Punto receives a new set of taillamps with LED fixtures and revised bumper. The side profile has received no changes, save for the sporty looking new set of alloy wheels. Though, we could not manage to click interior images, we expect the car to receive the similar updates that we saw in the 2014 Linea facelift. Expect the car to have a revised centre console, new upholstery and dual-tone dashboard.
Since, it will be a mid-life makeover of the car, there will be no changes under the hood. The Punto facelift will retain the existing engine options - 1.2-litre petrol, 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre multijet diesel, all coupled to a five-speed manual transmission.
The Punto facelift will be launched during this year's festive season.
