Just one more day, and India will witness the launch of the new Fiat Punto Evo. To be launched across 15 cities in 15 days, Delhi will be the first city to host the new hatchback's arrival in the country. Along with the car's design, the company has also changed the Punto's nomenclature; it will now be known as the 'Punto Evo'. Mechanically, however, the car remains unchanged.

The front fascia of the Punto Evo has taken its inspiration from the Avventura Concept, which was showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. The hatchback now receives new blacked out head-lamps and a rounded cornered rectangular shaped grille. Moreover, the car features a revised bumper with trapezoidal fog-lamps with chrome-lined housing. The side profile of the new model remains the same as the outgoing version, but the new set of alloy wheels help give it a sporty appeal. The Punto Evo will also be offered in a new 'Golden' body colour.

As mentioned before, there are no changes under the hood, and it continues to feature the existing engine options: 1.2-litre petrol, 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre multijet diesel. All the engine options will come coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Furthermore, the new Punto Evo is likely to be offered in four trims levels each, in petrol and diesel engines.
