Along with changes to the car's, the company has also re-branded the nomenclature of the hatchback; it will be sold as the 'Punto Evo' now. While the changes made to the car are mainly cosmetic, it remains unchanged mechanically.
The front fascia of the Punto facelift takes inspiration from the Avventura Concept showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. The hatchback, in its new avatar, gets new blacked out head-lamps and a rounded cornered rectangular shaped grille. Moreover, the car has sports a revised bumper that includes trapezoidal fog-lamps with chrome-line housing. There are no changes made under the hood, since it's just be a mid-life makeover of the car. It will continue to be offered with the existing engine options: 1.2-litre petrol, 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine, all coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The updated Fiat Punto is expected to be offered in four trim levels each, in petrol and diesel engines.
