CVT or Continuous Variable Transmission is one of the forms of automatic transmission that have been gaining in popularity in recent years. For starters, there's no clutch pedal on the cars equipped with a CVT gearbox. Unlike a conventional automatic transmission system, the CVT doesn't make use of gears. Instead, it employs a two-pulley system that keeps the engine in an ideal power band, delivering the desired acceleration whenever required. A CVT-equipped car will be a more practical option to consider while driving in the city over its regular counterpart, particularly during bumper-to-bumper traffic. That being said, here's a list of the top five cars with a CVT transmission that you can purchase under Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom). However, we must tell you that for this list we are considering only the ex-showroom prices, and the on-road price for these vehicles may slightly vary as per the state.
