Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Launched In China; Track Package & Nürburgring Limited Edition Introduced

Tech giant Xiaomi has officially announced the market launch of its flagship performance electric sedan, the Xiaomi SU7, in China. Launched at a base price of RMB 529,900 (Rs. 63.24 lakh approx.) the new SU7 Ultra series will come in two high-performance variants: the track-focused Track Package and an exclusive Nürburgring Limited Edition.

The SU7 with the Track Package will cost an additional RMB 100,000 taking the total price to RMB 629,900 (Rs. 75 lakh approx.) Whereas the exclusive Nürburgring Limited Edition is positioned as a collector-grade option and will thus command an even higher price tag of RMB 814,900 (Rs. 97.30 lakh approx.) In 2025 the company will only make 10 units of the SU7 Nürburgring Limited Edition, while the total production of this limited-run SU7 has been capped at 100 units.

Powering the SU7 Ultra is a tri-motor all-wheel-drive setup, developed entirely in-house by Xiaomi. The system includes two V8s-series motors, each producing 570 bhp and 635 Nm, along with a V6s-series motor rated at 387 bhp, bringing the combined output to 1,527 bhp. Xiaomi states that it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 1.98 seconds, hit 200 kmph in 5.96 seconds, and reach 300 kmph in 15.07 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 350 kmph.

The Track Package offers a track-grade high-power battery pack, a track-optimized cooling system, a track-optimized braking system, dual-chamber air springs, and high-performance adaptive dampers. It also comes with 21-inch U-shaped forged wheels, carbon fibre rear wheel arches, and a carbon fibre roof. Xiaomi is also offering Pirelli P ZERO 5th-generation high-performance tyres, and an additional set of Pirelli P ZERO TROFEO RS semi-slick tyres as part of the package.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra "Nürburgring Limited Edition" too is a fully road-legal model, and it celebrates SU7 setting a track record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The SU7 completed a lap of the 20.8-kilometre circuit in 7:04.957 minutes, making it the fastest production electric vehicle to lap the track. This exclusive version comes complete with a Track Package, carbon fibre dual-vent hood, carbon fibre rear spoiler, full carbon fibre exterior trim, carbon fibre interior package, and distinctive Ultra Lightning decals.

It also features FIA-certified custom carbon fibre racing bucket seats with a 6-point harness, while the rear seats have been removed and replaced with a semi-roll cage. For enhanced track performance, the carbon fibre underbody aero panel adds up to 44kg downforce during circuit use.
