Pros Cons of BMW X5

Pros

  • Stunning to look at and drop dead gorgeous
  • Puts out more than 500 bhp
  • The M4 is bred for performance

Cons

  • Price puts it in a very niche segment
  • Suspension tuned for performance only
  • Rear seat space is not great for 3 individuals

Verdict

The latest BMW X5 sets a new standard, excelling in every aspect. Globally celebrated and favored in India, it elevates the driving experience for all occupants, including rear-seat passengers who can enjoy optional touchscreens and charging ports for their devices. The emphasis on infotainment is evident, enhancing the overall in-car experience. Additionally, this model surpasses its predecessor in comfort, promising a more luxurious journey.

Pros Cons of Mahindra XUV500

Pros

  • Looks better than before. Facelift ups the premium quotient
  • Seats are well bolstered
  • More power available on the diesel

Cons

  • There's a hint of body roll
  • Low on power at lower rpms
  • Understeers when you take a corner

Verdict

Mahindra is offering some new colours on the XUV500 - Crimson Red and Mystic copper, both of which we did not get to see; but the Crimson Red looked promising on the presentation board. Mahindra will hope the refresh brings its customer base back into M&M showrooms and more importantly, back to driving the once popular XUV500.
