What's New?

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the new-generation C-Class, with prices starting at Rs. 55 Lakh, Rs. 56 lakh for the C 220d and going up to Rs. 61 lakh for the top-spec C 300d variant. The C-Class has been on sale in India since 2001 and this is the 5th generation (W206) model that comes to India, after it made its global debut in early 2021. Till date, Mercedes has sold over 37,000 units of the C-Class in India and no doubt hopes that the new C will be a volume spinner for the company as well. Mercedes has begun assembling the new C-Class at its plant in Chakan, Maharashtra and pre-bookings for the luxury sedan have begun as well.

Mercedes will offer three engines on the new C - a 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine in two states of tune. In addition, all three engine options get an integrated starter generator (ISG) with EQ Boost, which provides a significant 15 bhp of extra power and up to 200 Nm of extra torque. Mercedes says that the C 220d in particular is one of its most fuel efficient cars, with a claimed mileage of 23 kmpl. For its size, the C 200 petrol too offers an impressive 16.9 kmpl, while the C 300d gets a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.37 kmpl. Full specifications given in the table below.

Our time spent with the new-gen C left us impressed, especially with Mercedes employing its 'Sensual Purity' design language on the car. The exterior in particular, works very well, with the pulled back cab-rearward design, power bulge on the bonnet and the AMG trim on the C 300d along with the Avant Garde line on the C 200 and the C 220d make it the sportiest, most evocative model of the C-Class yet. In terms of dimension, the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class grows 10 mm wider, the wheelbase increases by 25 mm, with 21 mm increased between the front and the rear seats. The overall length of the sedan increases by 65 mm.

Along with the exterior design, the S-Class inspired themes are more pronounced on the inside. The highlight is the new 11.9-inch vertical touchscreen which gets the latest generation of the MBUX based on NTG 7. It is a connected car, along with a bunch of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features like active brake assist and active parking assist. The new C also gets a feature called 'Car-to-X', which is similar to a social network of cars, where Mercedes cars with MBUX can communicate with each other and share information on a real-time basis. The top-spec C 300d also gets Mercedes' smart digital lights which use up to 1.3 million pixels for lighting and can be configured according to the direction of traffic.

Like most modern premium cars, the touchscreen has almost all in-car controls and therefore, giving the dashboard a clean, sophisticated look. Another highlight is the HD instrument panel, with different themes and settings. The touchpad controls on the steering are now more flush. You get the Burmester sound system, ambient lighting, a connected car telematics suite that works with the Mercedes me app, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and either Alexa or Google home integration. Do note, that some of these may be available only on the C 300d.

Verdict

The cabin of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is more spacious. On the inside you certainly get a sense of the 'Baby S' tag, perhaps more than the outside, because of a superior material quality and design layout. The sense of luxury that you get is more heightened. The C-Class isn't still the best drivers' car - the BMW 3 Series has still got that covered. But in terms of style, space, luxury and comfort, the new C-Class is compelling and pushes the envelope far.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a line of luxury vehicles that have been produced by the German automaker since 1993. The C-Class is currently in its fourth generation, and it has been consistently one of Mercedes-Benz's best-selling models. Thanks to its elegant design, luxurious features, and impressive performance, the C-Class has established itself as a favorite among luxury car buyers.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a great-looking car. It has a sleek and stylish design that is sure to turn heads. The exterior of the car is very well designed, and the interior is just as nice. The C-Class is a great car for anyone who wants a luxurious and stylish ride.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a great car. It's comfortable, efficient, and stylish.

The C-Class is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. It's paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and comes standard with rear-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available as an option.

In terms of performance, the C-Class is very capable. It accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.8 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph. The C-Class also handles well, thanks to its sporty suspension setup. Overall, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a great all-around performer that should please most drivers.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a great car, and it’s no surprise that its mileage is just as impressive. According to fueleconomy.gov, the C-Class gets an estimated 38 mpg on the highway and 26 mpg in the city. That’s pretty good for a car of its size and power. Plus, with all of the features and amenities that come standard on the C-Class, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more well-rounded vehicle. So if you’re looking for a luxurious and practical car that won’t break the bank at the pump, the C-Class should definitely be at the top of your list.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a great driving experience. It's a comfortable car with plenty of power and great handling. The only downside is the price. But if you can afford it, the C-Class is definitely worth the money.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a great car for those who want a comfortable ride and good off-road capability. It has a spacious interior and a smooth ride, making it a great choice for long drives. However, its off-road capability is not as good as some of its competitors. The C-Class can handle some rougher terrain but is not as capable as cars like the Jeep Wrangler or the Land Rover Discovery. If you are planning to do some serious off-roading, the C-Class is not the best option.

If you're looking for a luxurious and comfortable interior in your next vehicle, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is definitely worth considering. The seats are upholstered in high-quality leather, and the cabin has plenty of space for passengers to stretch out. There's also an impressive array of features to keep you entertained and connected while on the road.

As Mercedes-Benz' entry-level model, the C-Class is often thought of as a budget Benz. But don't be fooled—the C-Class is packed with plenty of high-tech features and luxury amenities.

On the tech front, the C-Class comes standard with Mercedes' COMAND infotainment system, which includes a 7-inch display, Bluetooth connectivity, and voice control. For an added dose of luxury, opt for the available 10.25-inch touchscreen display and touchpad controller. Other available tech features include a Burmester premium sound system, wireless phone charging, and a head-up display.

When it comes to safety and driver assistance features, the C-Class has you covered there too. Standard safety features include automatic emergency breaking, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot assist. And if you really want to pamper yourself (or your passengers), spring for the optional massaging front seats.

So even though it may be considered the "entry-level" Benz, the C-Class is far from basic. With its impressive array of tech and luxury features, this car has something for everyone—and then some.

When it comes to safety, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class doesn't mess around. It's outfitted with a bevy of features designed to protect you and your passengers in the event of an accident.

The C-Class comes standard with Attention Assist, which monitors your driving patterns and alerts you if it detects that you're becoming drowsy. There's also a rearview camera to help you avoid obstacles while backing up, andActive Brake Assist, which can automatically apply the brakes if it senses an imminent collision.

Other available safety features include Blind Spot Assist, which warns you if there's someone in your blind spot, and Lane Keeping Assist, which helps keep you centered in your lane. With all of these features working together, you can rest assured that you and your loved ones will be safe when behind the wheel of a C-Class.

The all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class is finally here in Malaysia, and it's available in both petrol and diesel guise. There are a total of four variants on offer, and they are the C180 Avantgarde, C200 Avantgarde, C220d AMG Line and C300 AMG Line. So, which variant should you get?

Here's a quick rundown of each variant:

C180 Avantgarde: The entry-level C-Class is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 135 hp and 200 Nm of torque. It comes standard with features such as LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, Artico upholstery and a 7.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

C200 Avantgarde: This variant is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 184 hp and 300 Nm of torque. It comes with additional features over the C180 such as 18-inch alloy wheels, Burmester sound system and ambient lighting with 64 colours to choose from.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a line of compact executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz. The C-Class was first introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 190 W201 model.

The C-Class is currently in its fourth generation, which was introduced in 2018. The current C-Class competes with the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Jaguar XE, and Lexus IS.

When it comes to choosing a car in the Mercedes-Benz C-Class segment, there are a few things to consider. First, what size do you need? The C-Class comes in both sedan and station wagon body styles. Second, what kind of performance do you want? The C-Class is available with either a turbocharged four-cylinder or a twin-turbocharged V6 engine. Third, what's your budget? The C-Class starts at just over $40,000 and can easily reach into the six figures for a fully loaded model.

No matter what your needs are, there's a good chance that the Mercedes-Benz C-Class has a car that will fit the bill. So take your time, do your research, and find the perfect C-Class

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a great car. It's comfortable, efficient, and stylish.
Everyone likes the C-Class, but there are a few things that could be improved. The biggest issue is the infotainment system. It's not very user-friendly and can be slow to respond. The other thing that could be better is the ride quality. The C-Class can be a bit jarring over bumps and potholes.
Overall, the C-Class is a great car and we recommend it to anyone in the market for a luxury sedan.
