As the name suggests, the Classic 350 Bobber will be the bobber version of the Classic 350 currently sold by Royal Enfield. Carry-forwarding the J-series platform that was first introduced with the Meteor 350, the Classic 350 Bobber will be a single-seater motorcycle with a higher emphasis on styling.
The Classic 350 Bobber will follow the same silhouette as the Classic 350 but will feature mid-rise ape-hangers for the handlebar, a single-saddle and neutrally positioned footpegs. The motorcycle will receive chrome accents like the Classic 350, wire-spoke wheels and white-walled tyres to complete the look.
For the powertrain, the Classic 350 Bobber will be powered by the same 349cc air-cooled single-cylinder mill that registers 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. For cycle parts, the bike will be suspended by a telescopic fork setup at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking will be done by disc brakes at both ends.
We expect Royal Enfield to price the Classic 350 Bobber in the ballpark of Rs 1.90 lakh to 2.10 lakh (ex-showroom). On the competition front, the motorcycle will go up against the Jawa Perak and the Jawa 42 Bobber.
