2022 Mahindra Scorpio Spotted Testing; Spy Images Reveal New Details

The next-generation Mahindra Scorpio is one of the highly anticipated launches and expectations from this upcoming SUV are through the roof, given the success for the new XUV700 flagship SUV. Even the latest spy pictures suggest that the all-new model will be quite well-equipped with all the latest creature comforts and won't compromise on its off-road credentials. The latest set of spy images surfaced online has give us an idea of the features that we can expect the new Scorpio to have along with all the off-road bits. Yes! The new Scorpio will continue with a proper four-wheel-drive (4x4) transfer case with 4 Low, 4 High and 2 High modes.

The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will get a new chrome grille with the brand's new logo, LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED foglamps, side-step, roof rails, high-mounted stop lamp and rear spoiler among others.
As seen in the pictures, the SUV is still draped under camouflage serving its purpose to conceal details but we can still figure out all the exterior elements that will be on offer. The SUV will get a new chrome grille with the brand's new logo, LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED foglamps, side-step, roof rails, high-mounted stop lamp and rear spoiler among others. Even on the inside, the overall layout of the cabin will be new. It is likely to get a boxy dashboard with sporting a new touchscreen infotainment system, several dials and buttons for in-car controls, an electric sunroof, optional captain seats, leather-wrapped flat-bottom and steering wheel among others.

Even on the inside, the overall layout of the cabin will be new.
Under the hood, the new-gen Scorpio is likely to be powered by turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, also seen on the all-new Thar and XUV700. The 2.0-litre mStallion engine is tuned to produce 150 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque, whereas the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel develops 130 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. Both engines will come with a six-speed manual and an optional six-speed torque convertor automatic unit.
