- V4 priced at Rs. 28.68 lakh, V4 S priced at Rs. 32.38 lakh
- 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 now Euro 5+ and E20 compliant
- 212 bhp at 13,500 rpm, 120 Nm at 11,250 rpm
Ducati India has launched the 2025 Ducati Streetfighter V4 and Streetfighter V4S, with prices beginning at Rs. 28.68 lakh (Ex-showroom). The higher-spec Streetfighter V4S has been priced at Rs. 32.38 lakh (Ex-showroom). Based on the seventh generation Ducati Panigale V4 superbike, the new Streetfighter V4 embodies everything in terms of performance but is said to have improved rider comfort and enjoyable performance for road use. Boasting of 189 kg weight, 212 bhp Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine and a hi-tech, comprehensive electronics package, the Streetfighter V4 is for those who appreciate raw performance and everyday usability.
Engine & Performance
The 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale unit is derived from that of Ducati MotoGP bikes with which it shares a lot of technical solutions, including the 90-degree V4 architecture with desmodromic valves, counter-rotating crankshaft and twin pulse timing, giving the Streetfighter V4 a sound which is similar to that of the Desmosedici GP. The engine is now Europ 5+ and E20 compliant and puts out 212 bhp at 13,500 rpm and 120 Nm at 11,250 rpm. Those values can be boosted in track configuration by adopting the Ducati Performance pack Akrapovic racing exhaust, with power increasing to 223 bhp.
Design & Ergonomics
The overall design of the new Ducati Streetfighter V4 remains the same, but a completely new full-LED headlight enhances the aggressive face. The forward slanting biplane wings are said to be more effective than the ones on the previous model, claimed to offer 17 kg of downforce at 270 kmph.
The riding position of the new Streetfighter V4 is derived from the Panigale V4 but said to offer more comfort, particularly for taller riders. The bend of the handlebar has been moved back 10 mm than the previous generation model, and the footpegs are lower and more forward, positioned 10 mm inward. More room in the seat area offers more room for the rider to move forward and backward, and the rear area of the tank has been designed to better support the rider during braking, corner entry and cornering.
Chassis & Hardware
Derived from the new Panigale V4, the chassis of the Streetfighter V4 is completely new. The front frame is 3.47 kg lighter and has been stiffened compared to the previous generation chassis to offer greater confidence while leaning and greater effectiveness in attacking apexes on a track. The double-sided hollow swingarm is said to offer improved traction when exiting corners with a 43 per cent reduction in lateral stiffness, while making the rear wheel assembly lighter by 2.9 kg.
Like the Panigale V4, the Streetfighter V4 also features Brembo Hypure front brake calipers, which are 60 grams lighter per pair, compared to the Stylema of the previous model. The Hypure calipers are said to offer better performance, disperse heat more effectively and offer more consistent performance resulting in more effective braking for riders seeking to push the bike to its limits on track.
The V4 S features the full Ohlins Smar EC 3.0 suite with a NIX-30 fork, TTX36 shock and an electronic steering damper and forged aluminium wheels and a lighter lithium ion battery. The standard Streetfighter V4 uses a fully-adjustable 43 mm Showa Big Piston Fork, a Sachs shock, a Sachs damper and five-spoke light alloy wheels. The V4 has a weight (without fuel) of 191 kg, while the V4 S has a weight of just 189 kg.
Electronics
The 2025 Streetfighter V4 features a significantly evolved electronics package, which now features the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) functionality, in addition to the six-axis IMU powered control unit. The IMU has also been moved from front subframe to the tank area and placed closer to the bike’s centre of gravity. The DVO operates with capability of simulating the input of 70 sensors, and the bike now introduces the world-first Race eCBS combined braking system developed in collaboration with Bosch. The other electronic features, including DTC, wheelie control, slide control, power launch, standard up/down quickshifter, and engine brake control continue to be offered.
Prices & Variants
The 2025 Ducati Streetfighter V4 is available in two variants, with the standard variant in Ducati Red colour option priced at Rs. 28,68,600 (Ex-showroom). The higher-spec Streetfighter V4 S is priced at Rs. 32,38,400 (Ex-showroom) and gets top-shelf Ohlins fully adjustable suspension featuring the third generation Ducati Electronics Suspension, as well as Ohlins steering damper.
