- The Audi e-tron GT will be the brand's flagship electric car
- The Audi e-tron GT will be offered in 2 variants - Standard and RS
- The Audi RS e-tron GT packs in 590 bhp and 830 Nm
Audi India is on the electric offensive and the company's next launch will be the e-tron GT electric sports car. The company dropped the first teaser for its next offering that will arrive just weeks after the new e-tron SUV and the Sportback were launched in India. This will be the brand's third electric offering, giving the carmaker the largest EV portfolio in the Indian luxury space. It's interesting to note that the Audi e-tron GT made its global debut only in February this year and will come to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). The car is built in Germany at the Audi Bollinger Hofe facility.

The Audi e-tron GT coupe is offered in versions - Quattro and RS - and its likely that both variants will arrive in India. The model was previewed as a concept at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. Visually, the model comes with bold sculpted lines, a large indentation on the bonnet and the signature e-Tron pattern panel instead of the grille. The coupe also gets Matrix LED headlights on the RS version, while Audi laser light is standard on both variants. The Audi e-tron GT rides on 19-inch wheels that can be upsized to 21-inch alloys with aero blades. The electric offering comes with a drag coefficient of just 0.24 cd.

The Audi e-Tron GT will be the brand's new electric flagship
Inside, the Audi e-tron GT sits low and gets a large 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit console, and 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen display as standard. Power on the Audi e-Tron GT comes from the permanently excited synchronous machine (PSM) one at the front and one at the rear axles, mated to a two-speed transmission at the rear axle, and electric all-wheel drive. The electric motors produce up to 350 kW or 469 bhp, and 630 Nm of peak torque on the standard e-tron GT. While the RS e-tron GT gets an output of 440 kW (590 bhp) and 830 Nm of peak torque.
