Benelli 502C: Top 5 Highlights

The Benelli 502C is billed as a power cruiser and built on the same 500 cc platform as the Benelli TRK 502 adventure bike, and the Benelli Leoncino 500 urban scrambler. Also described as an "urban cruiser," the Benelli 502C does bear an uncanny resemblance to the Ducati Diavel, down to the short stubby seat, exposed trellis frame, petal discs up front, a longish fuel tank and even the shape of the headlight. The 502C has been available on sale in other markets, but is expected to go on sale in India soon. Here's a look at the top highlights.

Design

The Benelli 502C's design seems to be inspired by the Ducati Diavel, down to the short stubby seat, exposed trellis frame, petal discs up front, a longish fuel tank and even the shape of the headlight.

Engine

The 502C gets the same BS6 compliant engine as the Leoncino 500 and the TRK 502. It is a 500 cc parallel-twin motor, making 46.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 46 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
Chassis & Weight

The Benelli 502C is built around a steel trellis frame, and tips the scales with 216 kg kerb weight.
Cycle Parts

The Benelli 502C gets 43mm USD forks and a preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by 280 mm discs up front and a 240 mm rear disc, with 17-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear.
Price & Availability

The Benelli 502C gets the same 500 cc parallel-twin engine as the Leoncino 500 and the TRK 502. It will be launched in India at around Rs. 4.9 lakh (Ex-showroom).
