DeLorean Evolved EV Teased

- It will borrow the iconic design elements
- It will be unveiled fully in August
- The DeLorean will be based on an electric powertrain
DeLorean has been reported to be making a comeback later this year in August in an EV avatar. The reborn company has shown off a bit more information about the car - it has gulping doors, some bits of the design from the rear has also been shown off and also a new red light bar which is there on the back has been revealed as well. This is looking less like a reimagining of the iconic car which was popularised, thanks to the "Back To The Future" movie franchise. DeLorean is repurposing some of the iconic elements of the original car and implementing them in a modern package. It is a kind of retro-futuristic package which is in line with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Honda E.

The DeLorean was first revealed in February
DeLorean has actually emphasised how similar this new car is to the original. The new car has louvres but it is an EV. There are indications unlike the original this new evolution of the DeLorean will spawn a sporty car and it will also be luxurious at the same time. The car will be launched at the Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on August 18, but as always, there is no word on specs.
