Is This the Next Generation Fiat Linea?

This was the test mule that was spotted recently and it looks like the next generation of the Fiat Linea. It's still early days to speculate on how it looks but from what we can see, it seems longer and wider than the current model. There is still time for the car to come to India but we might see it at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo where Fiat might also announce a renewed strategy for India.
When it was first launched the Linea brought a bit of freshness with the Italian design in that segment but Fiat couldn't capitalize on this. The Linea has sold nothing above 500 units for the past six months and the facelift which we saw last year, didn't make much difference.

The facelifted Linea is sold alongside the pre-facelift model which has been now christened as the Linea Classic. These will continue to be on sale in India for atleast another year till we see the next generation of the car.
The new Linea will be based on the Small-Wide architecture but we don't expect changes to the powertrain and chances are the same 1.3-litre Multijet diesel and 1.4-litre T-Jet Turboetrol engines are retained.
