American sports car manufacturer, Panoz, celebrates its 25th birthday this year, and they have a present for their customers. The company will be producing a limited-edition variant of the Esperante Spyder.
Obviously there was a simple christening ceremony and they preferred to call it the 25th Anniversary edition. The special edition Esperante Spyder is hand-built and thanks to the chassis, which is made entirely out of aluminium, the roadster weighs in at 1497 kilograms. Panoz says that the customers can choose between aluminium or carbon-fibre body.
The Esperante Spyder comes with a 5.4-litre all-aluminium V8 naturally aspirated engine that's good enough for 430 bhp in stock form, and 575bhp when fitted with a supercharger. The Esperante Spyder has a rear-drive layout and power is delivered via a six-speed manual transmission. There's also a six-speed automatic gearbox on offer for those who seek convenience.
Inside, the limited-edition Esperante Spyder gets adjustable Nappa leather seats with Alcantara inserts, a configurable instrument cluster, and a dash-mounted iPad Mini.
Panoz will build just 25 examples of this Anniversary Edition Esperante Spyder and prices begin from $189,000. The celebrations will continue as this year the company inaugurates its brand new headquarters in Braselton, Georgia, and plans to add atleast two new models to its line-up.
