Porsche Unveils The Panamera 4E Hybrid

- The Panamera Hybrid produces a total of 462bhp (combined output)
- It has a claimed fuel efficiency of 40 km/l
- It can go upto 50km on pure electric power
It is one of the few ways wherein manufacturers of luxury vehicles can move towards sustainable mobility. Hybrid vehicles! Keeping this thought in mind, Porsche recently showed off the Panamera 4E Hybrid which packs a solid punch but in a green way. Let us explain it to you. This Porsche produces a total of 462bhp (fuel and electric motor combined) and has a fuel efficiency of almost 40 km/l, for a Porsche Panamera! Can you even imagine!

The Panamera 4E starts in the pure electric mode, every time you thumb the starter. It can go upto 50km on purely electric mode and can touch a maximum of 140 km/h. The electric motor produces 136bhp and 400Nm of peak torque right from the word go. Combined with the 2.9-litre V6 biturbo engine that produces 330bhp and 450Nm, the total power output is simply mind-blowing. The 0-100 km/h sprint is done in a mere 4.6 seconds and the top speed achieved is almost 280 km/h. The engine is of course, mated to Porsche's 8-speed PDK transmission unit, which is different from the earlier torque converter unit on the previous model.
undefinedThe interior too gets a newly designed display and control units by way of Porsche Advanced Cockpit. It also gets touch-screen panels that can be configured. There are two 7-inch screens on either side of the analogue rev counter along with a power meter for the Hybrid operations.

One can also specify the Panamera 4E with the Sport Chrono Package that lets the driver toggle between various driving modes including 'Sport and 'Sport Plus'. As far as the hybrid driving modes are concerned, there are 4 options; 'E-Power', 'Hybrid Auto', E-hold' and the 'E-Charge'.
The deliveries of the Porsche Panamera 4E Hybrid will begin in April next year across Europe.
