Who Bought Sachin Tendulkar's Used Ferrari? Taking A Look Back Memory Lane!

Sachin Tendulkar's Ferrari needs no introduction as well! He got this as a gift from Fiat, in commemoration of his equaling Sir Don Bradman's record of 29 Test hundreds. In a special gesture, the car was handed over to him by none other than F1 great Michael Schumacher. The Ferrari 360 Modena was gifted to the cricketing legend back in the year 2002. It soon got embroiled in a controversy with the Government attempting to exempt him from paying up the INR 1.1 crore in import duties. Fiat ultimately paid up the amount.
However, Sachin Tendulkar ultimately sold this iconic car to a businessman from Surat. Who is he?
Jayesh Desai is one of the Rajhans Group promoters with business interests in sectors like real estate, multiplexes, and textiles. Desai is a high-net-worth individual with numerous luxury vehicles, although he could not pass up the opportunity to own this special Ferrari 360 Modena instead of buying a new Ferrari at the time. Desai has not officially revealed the amount he paid to buy the car and also his relationship with the legend.
He purchased the Ferrari directly from Sachin Tendulkar and as per his own statements, approached him via a common friend, enquiring about whether he wished to sell the car. He agreed, since the car had already been listed for sale over a few months. The businessman eventually drove the Ferrari from Tendulkar's then-apartment in Mumbai's Bandra, to his Satkeval Society bungalow in Athwalines on a weekend. He also took it to his office which is situated at Varacha. He has built a special garage to house the Ferrari at his bungalow. Desai has called it the best experience of my life. Of course, the mystery remains on why Sachin Tendulkar chose to part ways with this iconic Ferrari. However, the good news is that it continues to remain in passionate hands!
