The cabin, on the other hand, looks largely similar to the existing model. However, the non-hybrid and hybrid version is differentiated by three switches for Econ, Sport or EV mode on the latter, positioned beside the push-button gear selector. Econ mode alters throttle inputs to help the driver maximize fuel efficiency, while Sport enhances throttle response for a more aggressive feel, with the engine sound enhanced by Active Sound Control for a sportier note. EV Mode allows the CR-V Hybrid to operate under electric-only power when the hybrid battery has a sufficient charge. The engine offers a combined output of 209 bhp. The hybrid model also gets an all-wheel-drive system and an electronic clutch activates, that sends the appropriate level of power from the electric motor to the rear wheels. All non-hybrid CR-V models get the 1.5-litre DOHC, direct-injected VTEC engine that makes 187 bhp, offered in both fronts- and all-wheel-drive configurations.
