VLF Mobster 135 Production Begins At Kolhapur Plant

Italian two-wheeler manufacturer VLF (Velocifero) has started production of its first petrol-powered scooter for India, the Mobster 135. The scooter was launched in September 2025 at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom) and drew more than 2,500 bookings in its first month. Manufacturing is underway at the company’s Kolhapur facility in Maharashtra, with deliveries expected to begin as early as next month.

VLF had initially offered the Mobster 135 at an introductory price of Rs 1.30 lakh for the first 2,500 units. In October 2025, the brand extended the offer to an additional 500 customers, bringing the total introductory allocation to 3,000 units. Prices are set to be revised once these units are delivered.

Powering the Mobster 135 is a 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired with a CVT. It produces 12.1 bhp at 8,250 rpm and 11.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. VLF claims a 100 kmph top speed and 46 kmpl fuel efficiency, with an 8-litre fuel tank.

Feature highlights include a 5.0-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, keyless ignition and switchable traction control. The scooter weighs 122 kg and comes with a 1,341 mm wheelbase, 797 mm seat height and 155 mm ground clearance.

Braking duties are managed by 230 mm front and 220 mm rear discs, supported by dual-channel switchable ABS. Suspension setup includes a telescopic front fork and gas-charged twin rear shocks. The Mobster 135 rolls on 12-inch tubeless tyres, with 120/70 at the front and 130/70 at the rear.
