Harley-Davidson Streetfighter Could Be Called 'Bareknuckle'

- The Harley-Davidson Streetfighter was first showcased in July 2018
- It could have up to nine derivatives, the H-D Streetfighter
- It could be launched by the end of 2020
It was in July 2018 that Harley-Davidson announced its 'More Roads To Harley-Davidson' program wherein it was revealed that Harley-Davidson will break mould and develop motorcycles beyond cruisers. Keeping this in mind, the company showcased the 'Pan-America 1250' and the 'Streetfighter'. The naked streetfighter in particular caught our attention, with the initial photographs showing a sharply designed prototype. And now, reports suggest that Harley-Davidson has filed a trademark for the name 'Bareknuckle' in USA. Although, the trademark is yet to be granted! Yes, these are early days but if one were to join the dots, a name like 'Bareknuckle' will be suited to a naked streetfighter.

The Harley-Davidson Streetfighter will have a 975 cc V-Twin engine which is water-cooled. Reports also suggest that the "More Roads To Harley-Davidson" plan could see as many as nine derivatives of the Streetfighter, ranging from 500 cc to 975 cc and could also include a fully-faired sportbike. Expect the production version of the first model to debut in 2020, with the complete line-up to be revealed by the end of 2022.

As far as the Pan America is concerned, it too will have two variants, a 975 cc model and the 1250 cc model and the models will make their debut by 2020. Harley-Davidson says that its 'More Roads to Harley-Davidson' growth plan has been formulated keeping in mind the changing consumer demands, and the announcement support Harley-Davidson's 2027 objectives with "increased focus and strategic investment to reinvigorate the US business while accelerating the pace of international growth." The 'More Roads to Harley-Davidson' plan includes launching new products, providing broader access to customers, and improving the dealership network, and the Harley-Davidson customer experience.
