Honda Mobilio MPV Launched; Priced at Rs 6.49 Lakh

First showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo in February, the Honda Mobilio was, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated vehicles of the year. Honda Cars India finally launched the vehicle today with the car's price ranging from Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 10.86 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). A rather competitive range, I would say. The sporty RS-kit powered model of the MPV is priced at Rs 10. 86 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will be put up for sale from September, 2014.
Compared to its rivals, the Mobilio with its best-in-class mileage, powerful engine options and generous space, easily edges out competition, which should help Honda garner good sales. Another thing that works in the MPV's favour is its design; despite being an MPV, it manages to look quite good for a 7-seater family car.

The Mobilio is available in two engine options: 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel. Both these engine also power the new-generation Honda City. With a claimed mileage of 24.2Km/l, the Mobilio's diesel version is the most fuel-efficient vehicle in its league. The petrol engine also impresses with an ARAI certified mileage of 17.3Km/l.
Honda's all new seven-seater MPV is based on the extended version of the Brio platform, which also underpins the Amaze. Measuring 4,390mm in length, 1,680mm in width and 1,610mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,650mm, the Mobilio is one of the most spacious vehicles in its class.
