Meeting Lewis Hamilton & Nico Rosberg at Motorsports Historic Venue

"You guys must be a bit crazy to do something like this" - that was current Formula One champion and Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 driver, Lewis Hamilton's, first reaction as I explained the GLAadventure. His reaction made me realise just how epic our journey really is.

The days leading up to this interview were quite interesting. We altered our European schedule a tad bit to make it to Monza for this interview. Set to meet Lewis on Day 10 of the GLAadventure, we reached Venice the night before. We covered the remaining 200 or so odd kilometres to Monza the next morning. All geared up for an 8PM appointment with the British F1 driver, the crew was visibly excited.
However, we were in for a surprise that night - Lewis Hamilton's teammate, Nico Rosberg, was also going to drop in to say hello. Given the new development, the team quickly got down to figuring out how we would split the questions between Ishan and I. While I was tasked with asking the two about what they thought of the GLAadventure, it was decided that Ishan would quiz the duo about the ongoing Formula One season.

Hamilton, the first one to arrive, got chatting with us immediately. He enquired about our journey so far and the routes that we'd taken, among other things. Interestingly, he said he finds it difficult to fathom how we drive in India. Next up was Nico, who came in a few minutes after Hamilton left.

I will have you know that while Hamilton seemed more casual and easy going, Nico came across as rather suave yet friendly. Nico shared some of his favourite driving routes across the world and shared tips on how to concentrate during long road trips. The motorsport suckers that we are, we asked both the drivers to sign on the cars as a parting gift, and they obliged!
