New Ford Endeavour Launch in January, 2016

Ford Endeavour, the latest iteration of which was initially showcased as the Everest Concept, has been confirmed to join Ford's Indian portfolio sometime in January, 2016. The new 2016 Ford Endeavour will be available in two trim levels, Trend and Titanium, both of which will be offered with 2 diesel powertrain options and both 4x2 and 4x4 drive options.
The American carmaker was widely thought to have been considering 4 new car launches in India this year. The Figo Aspire compact sedan and all-new Figo hatchback were launched in quick succession in August and September, respectively with the Ford Mustang and Ford Endeavour expected to follow. As yet, there is no news about the new Mustang's impending launch but Ford India's website has confirmed that the big, American SUV will make its Indian debut in January.
The original Ford Endeavour was somewhat of a cult favourite in India, thanks to its enormous girth and macho build. However the car lacked the finesse, reliability, and serviceability compared to the Toyota Fortuner, which took the Indian market by storm. With that being said, the new Ford Endeavour is a vastly improved machine when compared to its predecessor. Based on Ford's T6 platform, the SUV still retains the original iteration's macho stance but its designers have managed to incorporate a host of modern and upmarket elements into its design. The front section is still big and boxy albeit features softer edges, DRL equipped headlamps, and a classy variant of Ford's signature trapezoidal grille. The interiors look refined and are packed with features and if it isn't only luxury that you're after, the car has also been equipped with a new terrain management system (TMS).
