New Honda Jazz Teased; Launching Soon

The long wait for the much-anticipated new-generation Honda Jazz is finally going to get over soon, as the company has now kick-started the online marketing campaign for the car. Today, the company has teased a short video of the car that ends up saying 'Coming Soon'. The same video also appears on the company's official website. The video shows design bits of the new-gen model including the front, rear and side profile.
Designed on Honda's 'Exciting H Design', the new-gen model of the hatchback looks sportier, sleeker and bolder than the discontinued model. The vehicle, now, has global Civic-like horizontally stretched head-lamps, new grille and all new bumper with large air-vents. The rear, too, receives new tail-lamps, new bumper and few other changes, though it still looks quite similar to the old model. The side profile, on the other hand, looks more aggressive than before thanks to prominent creases, new alloy wheels and wing mirrors. In short, as against the old model's mini MPV like look, the new -gen model looks a proper hatchback.

The vehicle might be made available in three engine options - 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol, 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel. While the 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol mill is the same that powered the old model, the other two - 1.5-litre petrol & diesel - do duty on the Honda City. Upon its launch, the Jazz is expected to become one of the most powerful and fuel-efficient vehicles in its league.
The last generation model was always praised for its interior quality, spaciousness and design, and the new model is expected to be even better in all the three departments. Though the seats of the car will be similar to the old model, the extended wheelbase will provide more knee-room and legroom to the passengers. The boot space too is expected to be best-in-class.
