Royal Enfield & Honda Mobilio - Most Searched Auto Brands in India

With just a week remaining in the year, Google, the world's largest search engine, has revealed the most searched terms of the year globally and in India. Just like every year politicians and Bollywood stars ruled the Google India, but we bring you the list of most searched two and four wheeler brands/products.
Google Zeitgeist list has revealed some interesting facts about the automobile related searches that Indians did throughout the year. According to the list, Royal Enfield has been the most searched two wheeler brand in India, followed by Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter in second and third place respectively. Ducati, Bajaj Pulsar, Honda CBR150 and Duke 390 were the other searched terms/brands on Google India this year.
Talking about the most searched cars/brands, Honda's first-ever MPV - the Mobilio - topped the list. What's even more interesting to know is the fact that Chevrolet Spark has been the second most searched car in 2014. Despite being one of the most searched cars, the Spark could not lure many buyers; it is, in fact, one of the least sold cars in its segment currently, and that is the reason why General Motors is planning to stop its production here.

At No. 3 in the list is India's top-selling SUV, the Scorpio, which is probably because of the fact that Mahindra & Mahindra launched the new-gen model of the decade old car this year. Other cars/brands in the top searches were Ford EcoSport, Lamborghini, Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest in the same order.
Interestingly, none products from the market leaders, Maruti Suzuki India and Hero MotoCorp are in the top searches. It also shows the strong presence of these two brands in the rural and semi-urban markets, where people have great faith in these two brands.
