India's first all-electric hypercar, Vazirani Shul, was today officially unveiled in the country. Designed and developed by Vazirani Automotive, headed by designer and co-founder Chunky Vazirani, the new Shul has been built with inputs from Force India F1 Team (previously Sahara Force India F1 Team) and tyre maker Michelin. Designed with the help of a wind tunnel making for a higher drag coefficient, the new Vazirani Shul is underpinned by the lightweight yet rigid carbon-fibre tub chassis, quite similar to the BMW i8.

Power on the Shul comes from a jet turbine engine that feeds from a four electric motor set-up, located beside the wheel to provide fully independent torque vectoring, one for each wheel. The hypercar promises rapid acceleration with torque-heavy performance without compromising on the range. The car has been developed in collaboration with a company in the UK for the development of the turbines. The turbine-electric motor is paired with a single ratio transmission, similar to the Koenigsegg Regera. Vazirani says the motor allows drivers to use regular petrol so it can rely on the existing infrastructure.

The battery pack can be charged on the go with regenerative technology.
