Renault Duster Reviews

India's original compact SUV has been given the turbo treatment with the introduction of the powerful 1.3 litre Turbo Petrol engine. We test it out to see if the Duster will appeal more to the purists now.

The Renault Duster gets another big facelift for 2019 to keep the sales going till the 3rd generation Duster comes to India by 2021. Is it a case of too little too late? Or will the new Duster be able to stand its ground against newer SUVs? We find out!

It is evident that Renault has gone back to the drawing board a few times to ensure what we get is a well-engineered product that is also reasonably smooth and responsive. The ZF-sourced AMT system has been tweaked to provide the maximum smoothness. The Duster gets a new front grille and very edgy headlamps being the most significant changes. The central console is now finished in piano black with a more solid premium feel. Cabin space and seat comfort are exactly as before good!

There are not many changes to the exterior of the car but Renault has managed to give the Duster AWD a unique set of alterations which sets it apart from the regular car. To begin with it gets, what Renault calls 'Anthracite' alloy wheels, darkened head-lamp clusters and matte black B-pillars on the RxZ trim.

Renault India has today launched the Limited Edition of its Compact SUV Duster to celebrate the 1 lakh sales figure mark. The limited edition duster is priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be available in limited quantities only.
