Audi will recall 14,535 Q7s in the United States which have been manufactured from August 30, 2015, to May 8, 2016. According to the company, a software issue within the airbag control module can cause the safety devices for the front seats to deploy with too much force in some crashes, which could injure occupants. Also Read: New Audi Q7 Review The company first learned about this issue in March 2016 when an accident report showed 'an airbag not deploying according to the correct impact scenario' after which Audi took matters into its own hands. Audi immediately opened an investigation, and it began developing updated software in May. Also Read: Audi SQ7 Review Audi dealers will install new airbag control module software, which will update 'parameters in the triggering algorithm.' The 2017 Q7 was launched in the U.S. earlier this year and in fact we saw it make its debut in India too. In fact we'll see it in a more powerful avatar soon - the SQ7. The cars sold in India have not been affected by this recall and we'll keep you posted about the launch of the wolf in sheep's clothing.
