Ampere Vehicles Announces Price Cuts Across Electric Scooter Range In Gujarat

- The Ampere Electric scooter range is now more affordable by Rs. 27,000
- Both electric scooters are intended for last-mile connectivity
- The Zeal and Magnus have a top speed of 55 kmph and a range of 75 km
Ampere Vehicles, the electric mobility business of Greaves Cotton Limited, has announced a significant price cut on its electric scooters in Gujarat. The revised prices are a result of the announcement of the Gujarat EV Policy 2021 that saw the state government extend incentives on locally made EVs as well as for infrastructure to support the same. With the revision in price cut, even the large scooters from Ampere Electric have become much more affordable and now start under Rs. 50,000.

Ampere Zeal and Magnus have a top speed of 55 kmph and a range of 75 km on a single charge
Speaking on the new Gujarat EV Policy, Roy Kurian, COO, Ampere Electric, said, "This is an extraordinary move by the Govt to make our well-build electric scooters more affordable & hence within easy access for a common man. At Ampere Electric, we are thrilled to see such initiatives that foster the growth of dependable & reliable mobility solutions in the last mile. It will help commuters optimise on petrol expenses in their conventional 2Ws. It will also help logistics players in B2B segments to save significantly on their transportation costs & rather utilize this money for business development"
Both the Ampere Magnus and Zeal electric scooters are designed for last-mile connectivity. The offerings have a top speed of 55 kmph and a range of 75 km on a single charge. The company says that it has about 80,000 electric vehicle customers so far and around 400 outlets spread across 260 towns and cities across the country. Not just Ampere, other EV players have also announced price cuts on their respective offerings. The subsidies aim to encourage more buyers to bring home EVs.
