Audi e-tron Electric SUV India Launch Date Confirmed

- The Audi e-tron will be launched on July 22, 2021

After a long wait, we finally have a launch date for the Audi e-tron electric SUV - the brand's first all-electric offering in India. The new e-tron will go on sale in the country on July 22, 2021, and will take on rivals like the Mercedes-Benz EQC and the Jaguar I-Pace in the segment. The e-tron launch was delayed due to the second wave of the pandemic but arrives next month, nevertheless. We have driven the e-tron but our review, for now, remains embargoed. The Audi e-tron electric SUV packs about 355 bhp and 561 Nm from its two electric motors with a range of 452 km on a single charge
The new Audi e-tron will arrive in two body styles in India - SUV and Sportback. It's the former that will be launched in the country first. The Audi e-tron sports strong design elements including the massive single-frame grille, Matrix LED headlamps with LED DRLs, and a conventional roofline as opposed to the coupe-like sloping roofline on the Sportback. The rear profile gets wraparound LED taillights connected end-to-end. The bumper also gets the dual-tone treatment, which extends to the alloy wheel design as well.
The Audi e-Tron SUV will draw power from two electric motors that develop 265 kW or 355 bhp and 561 Nm of peak torque. This goes up to 300 kW or 408 bhp and 664 Nm in the boost mode. The electric offering can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 6.6 seconds with a top of is 200 kmph. Audi claims a range of 452 km on a single charge from the 95 kWh battery pack. It can be fully charged in eight and a half hours using a regular charger
