Benling Believe Electric Scooter Launched In India; Priced At Rs. 97,520

Gurugram based, Benling India has launched the Believe long range electric scooter in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 97,520. The company says that the e-scooter has been designed specifically for Indian road conditions and will be retailed through its 350 dealerships in the country located across 22 States and 160 cities. The EV maker also revealed its new generation of electric batteries - LFP (lithium iron phosphate) for its newly unveiled model. The product will be available across its showrooms from August 25, 2022.
The Believe High-speed e-scooter is offered in six colours options -Yellow, Blue, Black, White, Purple and Magic Grey. The model is equipped with smart breakdown assist technology that provides a range 25 kms during breakdown, while the claimed range is 120 km on a full charge. This electric scooter sports a swappable LFP battery pack, powering a 3.2 kw waterproof BLDC motor. It tips the scale at 248 kg and has a top-speed of 75 kmph. The LFP battery pack gets a micro charger and auto cut off system and allows for a full charge in approximately four hours. It also offers features like keyless start, multiple speed modes, anti-theft alarm feature, regenerative braking, mobile-app connectivity, Park-assist function, Mobile-charging and real time tracking. The e-scooter offers a loading capacity of 250 kg and gets disk brakes both at the front and rear. The model is also ARAI/ ICAT certified.
The company is ready to roll out 3000 units of the Believe e-scooter in a month while another 9000 units will be ready by November. Benling India is also planning to enhance its production capacity then on. The Benling Believe will be manufactured in Manesar, Haryana which and its plant has a total annual production capacity of 3 lakh. The company has already scheduled for 1.20 lakh deliveries in FY 2023 and at present, it assembles three electric two-wheeler models in both high-speed and slow-speed segments.
