The 2014 Geneva Motorshow is just around the corner and it is the place where one of the most exciting and brilliant production as well as concept cars are showcased.

It is also a place where old names are revived and that is why Ermini decided that it will be bringing a new sports car to the motorshow. The company has been dormant since 1962 but in its hay-days (1940's and 50's) churned out cars that would compete against the Maserati's and the Ferrari's of the world.

It has now been given a fresh lease of life as it has tied up with fellow Italian brand Automobili Turismo e Sport. Ermini is developing its Seiottosei sports car with motorsport and engineering firm Osella, which competed in Formula One during the 1980s.

From what we know, the Seiottosei will be a 2-seater, with a tubular steel chassis with carbon fiber bodywork. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre, 4 cylinder engine (developed by Renault) which will power the rear wheels with 315bhp via a Sadev six-speed sequential gearbox.

Ermini says that the Seiottosei can push from 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds and the top speed is estimated at 268 km/h.

Ermini is coming back after a long hiatus but it's the car that they're bringing to the table that will make or break their deal.
