Euler Motors Launch New HiLoad Electric 3-Wheeler In India; Prices Start At Rs. 3.5 Lakh

Delhi-based electric vehicle start-up, Euler Motors, today launched its first product, Euler HiLoad electric three-wheeler for the cargo segment. The electric three-wheeler is offered in four variants - PV, DV, HD and FB, and you get two payload options - 655 kg and 688 kg, with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 1,413 kg. Prices for the new Euler HiLoad start at Rs. 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the company will start deliveries from January 15, 2021. Euler has already an order book of 2500 vehicles from several eCommerce giants, including BigBasket, Flipkart, Udaan, Hyperlocal and a few B2B delivery players.

The electric three-wheeler features a 12.4 kWh Lithium-Ion battery pack, which is the biggest battery to be introduced in an electric three-wheeler in India. The battery pack comes with Euler's liquid-cooling technology called the ArcReactor100, which maintains the temperature of the battery pack. It is IP67 certified, which means it's water and dust resistant. The battery pack powers a 3-phase induction motor, which develops a max power output of up to 10.96 kW or 14.7 bhp, and a peak torque of up to 88.5 Nm. There will be a less powerful variant as well that makes 7.1 kW or 9.5 bhp.

The new HiLoad comes with an ARAI certified maximum range of up to 151 km on a single charge, however, Euler says that depending on real-world conditions, the range could be around 110 km. The electric three-wheeler can attain a maximum speed of up to 42 kmph. As for charging technology, the new HiLoad gets a segment-first 3.3 kW onboard AC charger that will take about 3.5 - 4 hours to charge the battery. However, the HiLoad also supports DC fast charging, which can give you 50 km worth of charge in 15 minutes.

The new Euler HiLoad is built on the US-Patented Skateboard chassis and comes with a 6 feet deck area, along with a ground clearance of 190 mm. Euler also offers features like a segment-first 200 mm disc brake for the front wheel, along with regenerative braking. The three-wheeler also comes with a digital instrument cluster that offers a tonne of information right from battery capacity, charging time, range and more. The new HiLoad gets features like - a Vehicle Tracking System, projector headlights, and a wide windscreen.
Euler has also set up around 200 charging points across Delhi & NCR, which also include mobile charging vehicles. The company is offering customers free charge time for a period of 6 months to help with range anxiety. Euler current produces 100 electric three-wheelers every month and aims to ramp up that to 1000 units within a year.
