He said, "This is basically in the 125 cc - 110 cc which is the most selling segment in India, the motorcycle segment and this will be a FAME complied vehicle, the development is almost over and the right now the vehicle is under road testing. The product is already there in terms of readiness and it is under rigorous road testing, dyno testing and all the quality inspections right now and we are hoping to have a formal launch event somewhere in early October, somewhere near Dusshera, so that is the timeline we are working with. The full look will be revealed in early October and we will be despatching the test bikes to all our dealerships and for all the reviews for all portals and everyone so that will be formally started in early October and deliveries should start early next year and the exact timelines will be disclosed during the launch event."
Hop Electric Mobility will launch the Oxo electric motorcycle in limited numbers to begin with. The company will take pre-booking orders in fixed quantities and start delivering those and then begin taking more bookings as and when the supply chain picks up.

"This will be the most suitable kind of motorcycle for the segment which is most popular in India, the 110 cc - 125 cc segment and even the looks and everything. We really want to replace the Honda Shine, Hero Splendor, Hero Passion and all these bikes which are the mainstream bikes right now in the country, and replace those bikes with a better product, he added."
Ketan Mehta also said that Hop Electric Mobility is working on a couple of other electric motorcycle models as well, but the Oxo will be launched first. The Hop Electric Oxo is likely to have a range of 125+ km along with a top speed of 90-95 kmph. The process for the Oxo to be homologated is in progress and the company has begun the process.
