F1: Hamilton Leads Championship as Mercedes Finishes One-Two

Lewis Hamilton moved in to the championship lead with his fourth consecutive victory as Mercedes dominated the Spanish Grand Prix right from the word go. Hamilton had a cushion of more than 20 seconds over team mate Nico Rosberg, however, that lead was to be threatened in the closing hours of the race.
Rosberg closed the gap to one second and kept on hunting Hamilton down ending up just 0.6s behind the leader as he took the chequered flag. The two finished 49 seconds clear of Daniel Ricciardo who finally saw himself back on the podium after Australia. Sebastian Vettel who started 15th on the grid was 26s behind his team mate in 4th place.
Bottas ended up in 5th place but lost a well fought battle with Vettel with just two laps to go. Fernando Alonso took sixth place with a late pass on team-mate Kimi Raikkonen after a close battle between the two Ferraris on different strategies.
Hamilton now leads the drivers' championship by three points having won all four races. The home fans had little to cheer as Alonso spent most of the race stuck behind Raikkonen, but he followed Vettel with a three stop strategy, eventually losing out to the Red Bull during his final pit stop. Alonso recovered to pass Raikkonen at Turn 4 giving the crowd something to cheer about.
Romain Grosjean scored his first points for Lotus while Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg rounded out the top ten as McLaren failed to score a point for the third consecutive race.
The dominance of Mercedes continues and though Hamilton might have taken the lead in the driver's championship, his team mate Nico Rosberg is still hunting him down.
