An electric two-wheeler showroom in Pune caught fire on Monday night with seven electric bikes gutted in the incident. As per a PTI report, the incident was reported at around 8pm last night with four fire tenders being rushed to the scene to control the fire. The incident took place at an e-bike shop in the Gangadham area of Market Yard in Pune.

As per fire department officials, the electric bikes inside the shop had been left to charge with initial impressions suggesting a short circuit could be the source of the fire. The officials suggested that the short circuit could have been caused due to over charging of the bikes though an official cause for the fire is yet to be revealed.

Available details reveal that there were no injuries reported due to the fire.
