Hyundai Alcazar Gets new Prestige Executive Variant; Priced From Rs 15.89 lakh

- New Prestige Executive brings down Alcazar price by Rs 55,000
- 10.25-inch touchscreen replaced by smaller 8.0-inch unit
- Misses out on Hyundai's BlueLink connected car tech
Hyundai has quietly introduced a new base variant for the Alcazar called the Prestige Executive. Priced from Rs 15.89 lakh, the Prestige Executive is available with both petrol and diesel engine options with the latter also available with an automatic gearbox. At its current pricing, the Executive is about Rs 55,000 more affordable than the Alcazar Prestige but misses out on a few features in the process.
| Manual | Automatic | |
| Alcazar Prestige Executive (7 Seat) Petrol | Rs 15.89 lakh | --- |
| Alcazar Prestige Executive (7 Seat) Diesel | Rs 16.30 lakh | Rs 17.77 lakh |
| Alcazar Prestige Executive (6 Seat) Diesel | Rs 16.30 lakh | --- |
The most notable change is to the infotainment system. The Alcazar’s previously standard fit 10.25-inch touchscreen makes way for a smaller 8.0-inch unit similar to mid-spec models of the new i20 and Creta. The smaller unit also misses out on BlueLink connected features but gets the addition of wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Other tweaks include a manually dimming internal rear-view mirror and the lack of a burglar alarm.

Most of the other features including the panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps etc from the standard Prestige variant are still available. Coming to the seating arrangement, the petrol is available only as a seven-seater with the diesel available in both seven- and six-seat configurations.
The petrol Alcazar Prestige Executive is available solely with a manual gearbox option while the diesel does get the option for a 6-speed automatic. The diesel-auto though is only available as a 7-seater. There is no change to the engines with the familiar 157 bhp 2.0-litre petrol and 113 bhp 1.5-litre diesel mills continuing to be offered.
The Alcazar goes up against other mid-size SUVs such as the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
All prices are, ex-showroom, Delhi
