Lewis Hamilton And Brad Pitt Team Up For A New Film Based On Formula 1

- Brad Pitt will play a former Formula 1 driver in the untitled film
- Lewis Hamilton will be one of the producers on the project
- Apple Studios has acquired the rights to the project
A new and exciting Formula 1-themed film is in the works that will star actor Brad Pitt, according to a recent report. Apple Studios has reportedly acquired rights to the untitled project, which will see Brad Pitt play an ex-Formula 1 driver who comes out of retirement to mentor a younger driver and reclaim his lost glory on the F1 circuit. The report also states that seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has been roped in as a producer on the project.

The movie could feature high-octane action sequences with F1 cars, especially with Joseph Kosinski in the director's chair
The film will be directed by Joseph Kosinski, whose last outing was the superbly thrilling Top Gun: Maverick starring Tom Cruise. Some of the other names attached to the project include screenwriter Ehren Kruger with Jerry Bruckheimer (Plan B Entertainment). Considering the thrilling aerial dogfights seen in the Top Gun sequel, we can't wait to see what the team does with F1 cars at over 320 kmph. It's unclear if Hamilton will play a role in the film but don't be surprised to see the racer play a version of himself in the film about F1.
This also won't be the first time Hamilton's name has been associated with a feature film. The Mercedes driver previously made cameos in Cars 2 and 3, as well as Zoolander 2. He has also given input on video games. Having Hamilton on board and having a massive body of work should give interesting insight to the makers of the world of F1. Meanwhile, Brad Pitt is an ardent F1 fan himself and has been a regular at Grand Prix events across the world over the years. He was also the starter at the 84th Le Mans 24 Hours.

For now, Hamilton will be back in the driver's seat this weekend for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. With a challenging season so far, the driver is 34 points behind teammate George Russell and 75 points behind championship leader Max Verstappen.
