Live Coverage - Skoda Yeti Facelift Launch

12:36: The 4x2 version is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, whereas, the 4x4 version will have a 6-speed manual transmission.
12:34: Powering the new Yeti is a 2.0-litre TDI engine, which will be offered in two states of tune, the 108.5bhp for the 4x2 version and the 138bhp for the 4x4 version.

12:26: The ex-showroom Delhi price for 4x2 is 18.99 lakh and Rs 20.53 Lakh for 4x4 variant.
12:22: Launched in both, 4x2 and 4x4 trims, the car is priced at Rs 18.63 lakh and 20.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). Now that's a bit too much for a Yeti.
12:19: The company will offer quite a handlful of accessories, so to allow customers personalise their car the way they wish.
12:18: The cabin also receives a few changes, with the most significant being the new steering-wheel that looks similar to that of the new Octavia's.
12:17: There will just be one variant on offer for the Octavia - the Elegance, which was the top-end variant in the previous model.
12:16: Changes to the car's exteriors comprise redesigned bumpers, LED tail-lamps, bi-xenon head-lamps, newly designed alloy wheels, new housing for the wing mirrors and different colour options for the roof.

12:07: Talking about the safety, he says that the new Yeti is one of the safest cars in its league. The car received 5 start rating in Euro NCAP crash test.
12:06: The new Yeti is capable of driving on any terrain conditions, says Mr. Sudhir Rao.
12:05: The launch event finally begins. Mr Sudhir Rao, Chairman & MD, Skoda India is on stage to address the media.
The stage is set for what is primarily a cosmetic update for the Skoda Yeti. The crossover will receive no mechanical update and will be offered only in the high-end trim - Elegance - in both, 4x2 and 4x4 versions.
