Log9 Partners With SpareIt To Launch Battery Replacement & Retrofitment Service

- Log9 will provide its InstaCharge battery packs through SpareIt network
- SpareIt is one of India's largest garage network platforms
- The services will be provided to both individuals and fleet owners
Bengaluru-based electric vehicle (EV) battery technology start-up Log9 Materials has announced the launch of a battery replacement and retrofitment model in partnership with SpareIt, India's largest garage network platform. As part of this collaboration, SpareIt will offer its extensive pan-India garage network for vehicle integration with Log9's InstaCharging battery packs. The battery replacement and retrofitment service will be rolled out across various towns and cities wherever SpareIt support is available and will be made available, to both individual owners and fleet aggregator companies.

Any electric two-wheeler or electric three-wheeler owner having an EV with issues related to battery can reach out to SpareIt or Log9's teams and easily get access to Log9's next-age battery replaced in their vehicles. Log9 and SpareIt simultaneously expects larger volumes from fleet aggregator companies to turn up for retrofitment, and will together continue to support electrification via retrofitment of fleets through their newly-formed partnership.

Speaking on the latest partnership, Kartik Hajela, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Log9 Materials says, "At Log9, we are looking forward to our partnership with SpareIt. The Indian EV revolution is shaping up into a big movement, and SpareIt has come out with a unique value proposition to support EVs that might need retrofit solutions and maintenance to keep them running on the road. Our partnership with SpareIt will ensure that EV owners and EV fleet players have the opportunity to benefit from Log9's reliable battery technology and SpareIt's support system network."
Roney Philip, Head - Strategic Partnerships, SpareIt, adds, "We are proud and excited to partner with Log9 Materials. To ensure faster adoption in the EV industry, it is important for the ecosystem to work collaboratively. Log9's customers can benefit substantially from this partnership, and this is a testament of how working together and leveraging strengths with each other can be beneficial."
Log9 Materials has introduced RapidX battery packs based on its InstaCharge technology, which are specifically designed for enhancing business-to-business (B2B) last-mile logistics. Log9's batteries get fully charged within 15 minutes for electric two-wheelers and 35 minutes for electric three-wheelers. Log9 is also expanding its InstaCharge network to increase the availability of the much needed fast-charging infrastructure across India.
According to the company, Log9's InstaCharge batteries are built with advance materials which are costlier as compared to the lower performance-based, cheaper EV batteries in terms of the upfront cost. However, since Log9 batteries have 9x better life than a conventional EV battery, the total cost of ownership (TCO) over a longer use case offsets the higher battery cost and makes it a viable battery to invest even in terms of retrofit applications, the company added.
