- The hottest hatchback on sale in India packs in a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine that belts out 415 bhp and a meaty 500 Nm of peak torque. The model technically sits on top of the A-Class family, both in price and power.
- The hot hatch does the 0-100 kmph sprint in just 3.9 seconds and further clocks a top-speed of 270 kmph.

The AMG A 45 S follows the one engine, one mechanic philosophy with the car completely built in Affalterbach. It comes to India as a CBU
- The new Mercedes-AMG A 45 S gets the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 8G transmission specially tuned to the requirements of the powerful engine.
- It also comes with AMG Active Ride Control and the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system.
- Compared to the AMG A 35, the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S gets a reinforced shell, stiffer suspension, larger brakes and even a different steering wheel.

The cabin is a familiar space but you do get the AMG treatment with the sports seats, Nappa leather and the AMG steering wheel
- The body shell has also been reinforced for better stability and dynamic handling at high speeds.
- The car also comes with a specific Race mode in addition to the different driving modes available, while you also get the AMG Drift mode.
- In terms of looks, the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ looks very sporty with the Panamericana grille, Multibeam LED headlamps, new signature LED taillights, wider wheel arches that accommodate the massive 19-inch alloy wheels.
