The model technically sits on top of the A-Class family, both in price and power. The hot hatch does the 0-100 kmph sprint in just 3.9 seconds and further clocks a top-speed of 270 kmph. The AMG A 45 S follows the one engine, one mechanic philosophy with the car completely built in Affalterbach. It comes to India as a CBU The new Mercedes-AMG A 45 S gets the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 8G transmission specially tuned to the requirements of the powerful engine. It also comes with AMG Active Ride Control and the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system. Compared to the AMG A 35, the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S gets a reinforced shell, stiffer suspension, larger brakes and even a different steering wheel. The cabin is a familiar space but you do get the AMG treatment with the sports seats, Nappa leather and the AMG steering wheel The body shell has also been reinforced for better stability and dynamic handling at high speeds. The car also comes with a specific Race mode in addition to the different driving modes available, while you also get the AMG Drift mode. In terms of looks, the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ looks very sporty with the Panamericana grille, Multibeam LED headlamps, new signature LED taillights, wider wheel arches that accommodate the massive 19-inch alloy wheels. The 8-speed DCT unit offers seamless shifts and the car remains planted at speeds well over 250 kmph.
