Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition Launched Globally

- The production of the G-Series of Mercedes SUVs will cease soon
- The G65 SUV Final Edition gets a few cosmetic updates
- It gets a 6.0-litre V12 engine making 621 bhp and 1,000 Nm
Mercedes-AMG has recently launched the Final Edition of its popular G65 AMG SUV. AMG is the performance wing of Mercedes and it will be making only 65 units, which will be sold worldwide. The G-series of Mercedes-Benz SUVs has been in production since 1979 is one of the world's most powerful range of SUVs. More than 33 per cent of G-Class SUVs sold worldwide are AMG models. The Mercedes-Benz G65 Final Edition can be yours for about Rs. 2.38 crore (31,233 Euros). The G-Class is the vehicle with the longest production run in the history of Mercedes-Benz.
(Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition: Interior)The G65 Final Edition gets 12-inch 5-twin spoke alloys done in bronze colour, with silver brake callipers and AMG sport trim on the sides. The SUV also gets bronze and obsidian black coloured inserts all over the exterior. There are a few matt black design elements as well, such as the running boards and the exhaust pipes. Coming to the interior, the G 65 Final edition gets a designo exclusive package along with carbon fibre bits and bronzed elements. The words 'Final Edition' are lettered on the grab handles and the floor mats as well.
(Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition: Rear)The engine remains the same which is a 6.0-litre V12 unit making 621 bhp and has massive peak torque of 1,000 Nm. The 0-100 kmph sprint time is 5.3 seconds while the top speed is 230 kmph which is limited electronically. The engine is mated to a AMG 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic transmission. The G65 AMG Final Edition also boasts of solid off-road ability with the ability through 60 cm water depth. The approach/departure angles too are low at 27 degrees with a breakover angle of 22 degrees.
The Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition will be manufactured at the company's facility in Graz, Austria.
