Osram India Launches New 'Rallye' Range Of Automotive Lighting Solutions

- The Rallye range of lights are available for 2-wheelers, cars and CVs
- The prices start from Rs. 110 and go up to Rs. 399
- Osram has over 100 distributors in India
Osram India has launched a new range of high performance automotive lighting product range called 'Rallye' in India. The entire range consists of 12 variants of halogen lamps for two-wheelers, passenger cars and commercial vehicles and the prices start from Rs. 110 and go up to Rs. 399 (prices are MRP). Osram India has over 300 plus products for cars, commercial vehicles and two-wheelers in India. Globally, the automotive lighting segment is the biggest contributor to Osram's business, with over 60 per cent share in India itself. The parent company, Osram GmbH, says that India will definitely be one of the key markets as far as Osram's revenue share is concerned, by 2020.
Avinder Singh, CEO, OSRAM India, said, "Our new Rallye range will definitely bring wider options to choose and cost competitiveness in the automotive after-market lighting industry. The range underlines our pioneering role as a leading manufacturer in the automotive lighting sector and also reiterates our commitment to continue investing in the replacement market. In fact, each year, more than half of all passenger vehicles manufactured worldwide are equipped with OSRAM lights and this figure goes to more than 70 per cent, when it comes to the India market. We aim to further consolidate our leadership position in the Indian automotive lighting market through this new range of products."
The Rallye range of automotive lighting will be manufactured at Osram's manufacturing plants in Germany, China and in Chennai, India. Currently, Osram India has over 100 direct distributors with which it will be making available its products in India. Also, the Osram will be selling the Rallye range on online platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal. Additionally, Osram India will also be launching an app for Apple and Android platforms.
