The Hero XPulse 200 4 Valve promises better performance, with relaxed and stress-free performance at high speeds, and better cooling as well. With improvements in gear ratios, and the overall transmission, the new XPulse 200 4 Valve incorporates a four-valve cylinder head, with 6 per cent more power and 5 per cent added torque. In numbers, it makes 19 bhp at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 17.35 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The new Hero XPulse 200 4 Valve is priced at Rs. 1,28,150 (Ex-showroom, Delhi), which is roughly Rs. 5,000 more expensive than the outgoing two-valve model.

2021 Hero XPulse 200 4V offers an improved version, with a new four-valve cylinder head, marginally more power and torque, and better top-end performance.
The outgoing XPulse 200 was known to have a weak headlight throw, and this seems to have been addressed in the four-valve version. The enhanced LED headlight is said to offer better visibility at night. The bike continues to get features like a LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, call alerts, turn-by-turn navigation. The 200 cc, four-valve engine now makes 6 per cent more power and 5 per cent added torque. In numbers, it makes 19 bhp at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 17.35 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The updated engine is said to ensure a relaxed and stress-free performance at high speeds.

PROS
- The new Hero XPulse 200 4 Valve addresses some of the weaknesses of the outgoing two-valve model, with better top-end performance.
- The Hero XPulse 200 is now equipped with a 200 cc, four-valve, oil-cooled engine which produces 19 bhp at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 17.35 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
- With 6 per cent more power and 5 per cent added torque, the new engine is said to ensure a relaxed and stress-free performance at high speeds.
- the four-valve, oil-cooled engine provides better power across the mid and top-end speed range, but also offers stress free engine performance, even at high speeds, while keeping vibrations in check.
- The gear ratios have been updated as well for better tractability and acceleration, and the overall transmission has been improved.
- The XPulse 200 also comes with a standard aluminium skid plate that protects the engine, and a new toothed brake pedal for better grip, and an upswept exhaust to tackle water crossings with ease.

CONS
- The performance improvement isn't significant, so, the new XPulse 200 4 Valve still isn't expected to offer great highway manners.
- One of the weaknesses was grunt at highway speeds for effortless overtaking. The 4 Valve unit will have a minor advantage in this regard, but not significant for multiple-day, long-distance adventures.
