Royal Enfield Hunter 350 vs Honda CB 350 RS vs Jawa 42 vs TVS Ronin: Specification Comparison

The new Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has been finally launched in India with prices starting at 1 lakh 50 thousand rupees for the base variant, going all the way up to 1 lakh 69 thousand rupees for the range-topping trim. Royal Enfield is offering the new Hunter 350 in two variants- Retro and Metro and it's the new entry-level model in RE's range. The new Royal Enfiled Hunter 350 builds up on the neo-retro design language and has been developed from the scratch over a period of over five years. It is positioned below the Classic 350 and Meteor 350 and rivals the likes of the Honda CB 350 RS, Jawa 42 and TVS Ronin in the Indian market. Here's how Royal Enfield's latest modern-classic motorcycle fares against the competition in terms of specifications.

In terms of displacement, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and the Honda CB 350 RS have the biggest engines at 349 cc and 348.36 cc, respectively. The Jawa 42 has a slightly smaller 334 cc motor while the recently launched TVS Ronin features a smaller 225.9 cc powertrain. That said, in terms of power output the Jawa 42 outperforms other motorcycles here offering 28 bhp and 28 Nm of peak torque while the other three offer around 21 bhp of maximum power. However, when it comes to torque output, the Honda CB 350 RS puts out a class-leading 30 Nm of peak torque while the Hunter 350 belts out 27 Nm. The TVS Ronin on the other hand delivers the humblest torque figure at 19.93 Nm.

Having said that, the TVS Ronin is also the lightest motorcycle of the lot tipping the scale at 160 kg and clocking a top-speed of 120 kmph, while the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is the heaviest motorcycle of the lot at 181 kg and has the lowest top-speed at 114 kmph. The Honda CB 350 RS and Jawa 42 weigh 179 kg and 170 kg respectively and both can clock 135 kmph as claimed by the company.
