Triumph Street Twin EC1 Special Edition Unveiled

- Triumph Street Twin EC1 Special Edition will be available for one year

Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled a new limited edition model, called the Triumph Street Twin EC1 Special Edition. The EC1 Special Edition takes inspiration from the custom classic motorcycle culture of London's East End, particularly the historic streets of EC1, the iconic London postcode, from where the special edition model gets its name. The special edition Street Twin EC1 comes with a unique paint scheme and premium custom detailing, although there are no mechanical updates from the standard Triumph Street Twin model.

The new fuel tank design has been finished in a unique colour shade of Matt Aluminium Silver and Matt Silver Ice, with subtle hand-painted silver coach lining, dedicated new EC1 graphics and the distinctive Triumph badge.

The new fuel tank design has been finished in a unique colour shade of Matt Aluminium Silver and Matt Silver Ice, with subtle hand-painted silver coach lining, dedicated new EC1 graphics and the distinctive Triumph badge. The side panels are finished in Matt Silver Ice and carry a new Street Twin Limited Edition graphic, and both the front and rear mudguards are finished in Matt Aluminium Silver. Also available is an accessory Matt Silver Ice fly screen. The 10-spoke wheels are finished in black, as well as the engine covers, headlamp bowl and the mirrors.

The engine continues to be the same 900 cc, parallel-twin engine which makes 64 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 80 Nm at 3,800 rpm. Two riding modes, Road and Rain are offered, along with ABS and traction control system.

Suspension is handled by 41 mm cartridge forks and preload adjustable twin rear shocks with a four-piston Brembo front brake. The wheels come fitted with Pirelli Sports Comp tyres as standard. On the electronics suite, ABS and traction control are standard, and the bike gets two riding modes, Road and Rain, as the standard bike. The Street Twin EC1 Special Edition will be available for a period of one year only. The new bike is expected to be introduced in India in limited numbers as well.
