The Ujet is powered by an electric motor which makes 5.44 bhp and 90 Nm of torque. The wheels are mounted not on conventional shafts and bearings but on external bushings, with perimeter disc brakes with an internal caliper. The Ujet is available in a choice of two battery sizes, with an estimated range of up to 70 km or 150 km. The fast charger allows for quick charging in just two hours, and the battery is removable and can be used as a power bank to charge other devices or used to play music with integrated wireless speakers with a direct smartphone connection.
The Ujet also has the latest communication technology with connectivity options for 3G, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth. The full-digital instrument panel can be connected to a mobile device to configure the scooter or diagnose a problem. The company has only started manufacturing in 2017, and the scooter is anything but affordable. Available in six colours, the Ujet will cost GBP 7,000 (over Rs. 6 lakh) for the standard model with 70 km range, while the one with the 150 km range battery will cost close to GBP 8,000 (close to Rs. 7 lakh). The Ujet will be first sold in Europe and the company intends to make it available eventually in parts of Asia and the United States as well.
