Zero Teases New Electric Motorcycle

- The new Zero bike will be a naked streetfighter
- It will be unveiled on 25th January, 2019
- No details on specifications, range and pricing as of now
US based electric motorcycle manufacturer, Zero, has released teasers of its new fully electric bike. Zero says that the new motorcycle will be called SR/F and will be naked roadster. Zero has built this bike on an all-new platform and says that SR/F will offer an 'effortlessly powerful experience'. From the teaser image itself, it can be inferred that the new motorcycle gets an LED headlamp, daytime running lamps and upside down forks at the front. Expect the motorcycle to flaunt sharp styling in accordance with a typical naked streetfighter design.
Early last year, Zero Motorcycles announced its new range of batteries. Zero introduced three new batteries - the ZF14.4, ZF7.2 and ZF3.6. The new batteries offer more range and better performance than the current range. If owners choose to equip Zero's optional ZF3.6 Power Tank to the largest battery - the ZF14.4 - that could offer a range of over 350 km during city riding.
Apart from developing its own electric motorcycles, Zero also provides its electric powertrain to Curtiss Motorcycles, formerly known as Confederate Motors. Zero Motorcycles' current range comprises a host of offerings including street-fighters, adventure motorcycles and dirt bikes, all of which use an electric powertrain.
At present Zero Motorcycles is not present in India and therefore, expecting any Zero bike to be launched here will be far-fetched. But we do hope to see Zero Motorcycles being launched in India sometime in the future.
